Daniel was thinking of all the things he could make today. He was most likely going to paint something in the camp or sculpt a figure. He didn't know. As he waved goodbye to his siblings he entered the arts and crafts room. He turned around to see a girl shaping a ball of clay. He quickly took a peek. He didn't know what it was yet, but decided against bothering her. He then grabbed his paint set from his bag and a clean canvas. He then begin to paint.

Rosalyn started to add the details: feathers, wings, and a beak. She was sculpting an owl. She looked up and saw a boy walk inside. She didn't say anything

Daniel knew what he was painting by then. He was painting the ring of the cabins. He added a sort of soft aurora to each one. He looked over for a few seconds to see the girl was sculpting an owl. "Hey, thats really good." He told her but not looking at her. He hoped she wouldn't find him rude for interrupting her working. He continued to paint. He added extra detail to the trees and the people walking around.

Rosalyn smiled at the boy.

Daniel smiled back at the girl. He then reached a paint covered hand to her. He quickly wiped most of the wet paint off and reached it out again. "So I'm Daniel Aswall, son of Aphrodite." He looked at the sculpture she was making and then back at her. "I assume you're a daughter of Athena?" He looked at his almost-complete painting.

Daniel gave her a smile. "Don't worry, I'm not dangerous." He laughed a little and then looked around the room at all of the other paintings and sculptures in the room. Most had been done by the Apollo children.

Rosalyn tentatively took his hand, although she normally didn't do handshakes, hands reminded her of her father, who used them to hit her.

Daniel noticed that she was nervous. "Hey, its okay. I won't hurt you." He looked at her with kind eyes. "Don't be scared" He took his hand back and went back to painting. He then added a small figure sitting by the Athena cabin.

Rosalyn looked back at her sculpture and started to paint it. She was adding grey and black speckles.

Daniel would look over every once in a while and compliment her work. He went back to his own and was adding the last detail to the cabins. He was stroking a few extra streaks on the sun and the grass, and then he was finished. He sat there and just watched the girl making the sculpture. "I don't think I know your name."

"What a beautiful name! Rose's are my favorite flower! Well, I mean I bet they're ever Aphrodite's childrens favorite flower..." He smiled at her and he looked at his finished painting. He quickly took some black paint and a paintbrush and put his name at the bottom. He then stood up and hung it on the wall. He looked at it and smiled. He then turned back to Rosalyn. "I think I'll sculpt now!"

Daniel grabbed a small clump of clay and began to soften it up. He then began to stretch it out. He then began to mold it. "So how long have you been at camp?" He was trying to strike up a good conversation with the girl.

Daniel nodded. "Its a great place to come to. I've been here for a good 4 years, I only go home for Christmas. Even my mom comes down. What about you? Are you planning on staying year round?" Daniel was hoping he didn't go into a sore subject. For some campers it was a very senstive topic.

Rosalyn nodded. "Too dangerous and lonely in the mortal world." She didn't often talk in complete sentences

Daniel nodded. "Monsters are no fun!" As he continued to sculpt the form started to take the place of a bird, a blue jay. "So how's camp treating you?"
